I will indeed be drawing LIVE ONLINE tonight! I thought I was going to have to cancel because my internet has been out almost all day. Turns out it was the stupid custom-cut network cable the stupid company made when they installed my stupid service. STUPID.
I moved only 6 months ago, and it was a big move. Now, this week, I have to move again. In the weeks after FetishCon, I should have been relaxing and catching up on my backlog of commissions, but NO. My landlady is insane. I'm not going to write about what she did while I was away, but I can't stay here. It's going to be expensive. I can handle it, but I shouldn't have to.
By the end of this week, I'll have a new place arranged, but I'm going to spend all of next month in Tampa. Hopefully, being with my friends for a while will help. I'll actually make the move on October 1st.
The point is, it's important that I sell as many commissions as possible this week. And all next month, too! I will definitely be working the whole time, so keep them coming!
I did this art last night during my live streaming session. Diana Knight dropped in to watch, and I'm SO glad she did! Diana's been very supportive of my art. She's even supplied me with reference photos from her pay site! (Awesome!)
The finished art will feature Poison Ivy tying her up with super-tight vines! You know... like Ivy always does!
This new commission turned out DOUBLE-PLUS AWESOME!!!
For someone who's never drawn Venom, I think I did good! Spider-Woman's pose came from the cover of issue #19 of her original series. While looking for reference material, I saw this and said, wow, I couldn't improve on that! (I'm the one who made her naked, though! Hee!)
I never, EVER thought I'd be making a tribute to Bob Layton! But there it is!
Those of you who have followed me for any length of time know how much I love Olivia Munn! I've been wanting to use her as the model for something-or-other for a long time now!
My oldest fans will remember a certain nameless character from the first episode of Ultra Fem waaaay back in 2005? The Milk Bitch's No.1 Hench Bitch? I gave her Asian features back then, and I recently realized she'd be PERFECT!
Well, NOW I have an excuse to do it! I'm working on a secret series of Milk Bitch commissions, and the new No.1 Hench Bitch will have her debut! Keep watching!
I've planning to post this for some time. I did it for my muscle model, who posed for me back in December. I didn't know how to finish it until I saw Toy Story 3. That pose, by the way, should look familiar. I used it for my Ultra Fem header art a while back.
I never did come up with a good caption for this drawing. "21st Century Doll," maybe? Or "Not Your Grandma's Action Figure?"
Oh! I saw her in Tampa at FetishCon! Look for pictures HERE later!
Okay everybody! I'm back home from FetishCon, and I'm starting to go through my backed-up email and list of orders. Everybody who currently has a commission in the works, please send me a reminder to make sure nothing has fallen through the cracks! (And there will be cracks!)
I'll need to work double-time this week to make up the work I would normally have completed. As fun as it was seeing all my friends and meeting all the new ones, special trips like this play hell with a body's schedule! And on top of that, I'll open a new weekly commission list immediately!
SPECIAL THANKS to all my fans and supporters!!! My unexpected medical bill was almost completely paid off by you guys! What would I do without you??
The convention hasn't actually started, but people are arriving! Had a long dinner with Diana Knight! Mallory Page found me and sat with us for a while. Kumi Monster and the Reverend B. Dangerous joined us. Christina Carter came by. I spoke with Orias Bastet, Isobel Wren, Michelle Peters, Alex Bettinger, Lorenzo Sperlonga, Lew Rubens, Andre (of Andre's Toon Damsels)... so many! And more are coming!
I got a laptop and a new Wacom tablet so I can draw while travelling, and it's a real struggle to adjust to the new controls and the poor quality of the laptop screen. Laptop monitors are bad for art. No way around it. This laptop can hardy keep up with my drawing speed. I'll just have to deal with it. Even so, I completed commission #201 last night! It was SLOOOOOW going! I tried to start #202 tonight, but got nowhere.
Those of you who follow me regularly know I've been struggling with back pain and stomach pain for weeks. It's never let up, so I found a walk-in clinic nearby and saw a doctor. I got a diagnosis, and it's a real condition, not my imagination. It's nothing life-threatening, but it's uncomfortable as hell. I won't say more about it. It's easily treated, though, so I'll be okay.
Meanwhile, there's a medical bill for $245 to deal with. I got off easy! But it still needs to be paid. There's a donation widget at right. Please add a few $$$ if you can!
FetishCon officially begins Thursday evening, but there's plenty to do until then, believe me! Others are already arriving! I had lunch with Kumi Monster, and I spoke with Angela Ryan in the lobby. (Awesome blue dress!) Isobel Wren has been in town since Sunday, but I haven't seen her yet. Diana Knight gets in tonight.
The program book looks great! (I designed it!) Don't forget: I'm selling autographed copies! Offer ends on Thursday! Here's the link - -
I've got my Wacom tablet set up on a big laptop, and my wifi is running ($60 hotel fee for the week, yikes!), so I'll be able to DRAW LIVE ONLINE just like always! (Watch here and on twitter for times.) I'll sit at a table in the exhibit room and STREAM LIVE from the convention floor, too! (IF everything works!) I'll take pictures when I see my friends and other cool people!
ABOUT COMMISSIONS: I was so busy last week with the new Complete Lisa collection and getting ready for the convention, I didn't notice how slow commission sales were. Only ONE new commission all week!!! That's BAD!!! THIS week needs to be MUCH BETTER! So I'll reintroduce my old discount offer: $5 off to returning customers. So come on! Buy those filthy commissions you always wanted! Help me survive the week! (I need it!)
Checked in! -- Got checked in at the FetishCon hotel! Seen a few people already! Kumi Monster and Angela Ryan, for example! Internet is up and running! I might even try to do some online art late tonight! This is a relief after the long, ugly travel day yesterday. Whew!
I'll need to sell some COMMISSIONS, though! WAY too few on the list! This hotel internet access is going to cost about $60 for the week. Gotta SELL!!!
