Reboot Chicks! — A funny little commission I did this week! It's Dot Matrix and AndrAIa! I love these girls!!
Once I got started, I realized very quickly that I could never duplicate the CGI look of these characters, so I just had to do it in my own style. Getting Dot's face right was surprisingly difficult. My first efforts always came out looking like her little brother Enzo. (That would not be good!)
I'm quite proud of that fact that, other than the feet, I used no anatomy references for this drawing. I'm getting good at this perspective thing!
Whenever I find something by another artist that's really unique or funny, I'll post it here! This one, by Carmessi at hArtists.net is BOTH unique and funny! And SEXY, too! Don't ask me to explain it. 'Cause... I can't.
I was eating lunch today, and the TV at the restaurant showed a commercial about how Coca Cola, Pepsi and Dr. Pepper are "teaming up" to remove "full-calorie" sodas from our public schools. It showed three guys in company shirts and hats wheeling crates of drinks down the hallways, big friendly smiles on their faces, and everybody acting SO GRATEFUL to them because they CARE SO MUCH.
I will be completing a new page for Ultra Fem episode 1 this week! The thing was due at the end of Feb, but sales have been poor, making it difficult to spend time on it. Anyone can still SPONSOR a page at any time! It really does help!
Meanwhile, sales of new commissions continue to sell like crazy, so that's where my energy has to go. The requests keep getting more complex, so I'm definitely going to have to add extra $$$ to the prices, especially for those who want loads of "wetness." That shit takes a LOT of time.
Oh, and guys? I know what you do with my drawings... You don't need to tell me.
Check out this AWESOME art by SLima! I arranged an art trade back in fall of '09, but both of us had little time to devote to it. This was a complete surprise!! SLima is the creator if Slimy Thief comics, which you should totally check out!
Completed a big commission last night! (See the next entry!) My second since the move. Setting up internet access has turned out to be the real problem. I thought that would be the easy part! Getting used to a new desk is slowing me down, too. No desk, actually. Kitchen table.
Had to buy a used monitor. It's a lot smaller than the old one, but it's excellent. A friend of mine near here said he'd let me use his monitor until I found what I needed, but I get here and he's got no power cord! So I had to buy a monitor.
My new landlady's cat felt it necessary to leave a "gift" on my doorstep my first morning here. Many of you will know what that means.
