50 Futas, Part 4! — I am close to completing yet another 50 futa drawings! The next package is now officially available for PRE-ORDER at THIS LINK! And I'm doing the FREE SKETCH deal again, too! Pre-order and a get a free sketch!
Meet "BackSlid" — I was recently contacted by an artist known only as "BackSlid" who requested a link exchange. I never get link requests, so of course I was curious to see his work. I was pleasantly surprised! I think all of you will like BackSlid, too. His women are strong and BUSTY! Here's two of my favorite samples.
No Live Art — Every evening, I consider doing some live streaming, and every evening I decide I don't feel like it. I will eventually, I'm sure... Meanwhile, I AM getting commissions done, but slowly. And I'm also getting a lot of stuff done around the house. Sales of the 2010 packages keep coming in a slow trickle, which is awesome. Makes life easier. There'll be a "50 Futas 4" set before too long!
Joan Holloway — I started this drawing back in September (I think), but I could never get the face right. As an experienced caricaturist, this frustrated me. There's a subtlety about Christina Hendricks' face I just couldn't capture, and I'm usually really good at that. Then I found a portrait by c-marie at DeviantArt that showed me what I was missing.
I think this is appropriate for my first color art of the year. Those of you familiar with Joan/Christina know that I'm hardly exaggerating her proportions. She's ALL WOMAN, and we love her for it! (She's supposed to be wearing lingerie. I'll update the image when she's done.)
Progress? Not much — I'm sorry, everybody! I did NO WORK this past week. No excuses! I'll get busy this coming week, I hope.
I've been eating like a horse, shoveling fast food and soda down my mouth as fast as I can since I returned to civilization, and I've gained an alarming amount of weight. Not happy about that. I've been sleeping round the clock day after day for weeks, and when I'm awake, I have caffeine headaches. None of this is good. Everything I'm doing is bad for me.
Today I'm very upset about the shootings in Arizona. If you follow my tweets or FB, you know that already, I guess. No matter the guy's politics, if we can ever understand them, he went after an established Tea Party target in a place that's wall-to-wall with OTHER choices. We can't deny that fact. But conservatives will blame liberals and "socialists" no matter what, and I believe things will get worse. Americans don't learn lessons, I'm afraid.
And now, with my head pounding, I'll answer some emails, then try to get some work done.
Change your DNS — I've been having trouble with my connection being slow and sometimes not connecting at all. When these problems happen, I always have to remind myself to change my DNS settings to the following:
And you should also turn off IPv6. It slows thing WAY down!
