And finally —
...here's the whole monstrous setup! She looks SMALL compared to my huge CRT monitor! But she's not, of course. Her case is a full 16 inches wide. I'll have trouble finding a carrying case for her.
And as you can see, I still don't have a proper desk. I'll work on that.
I have to say again how indebted I am to my fans. I wouldn't have this machine without you! There are 16 of you who contributed to the computer fund. I've been planning all along to have your names engraved somewhere on the case, and I still want to do it, but it will take time.
Meanwhile tonight, I'm still installing software and adjusting to the new drawing situation. It's always really different on a new machine, it can't be helped.
...ALSO - - I'm finally playing Portal 2.

New Computer! —
1pm! It's here! Watch for pictures!
...
1:15pm - Okay, It's out of the box, and it's beautiful! I won't turn it on yet, though. I need to run do some other stuff. I'll be back!
...
5:30pm (Already??) - Uploading pictures shortly! I've turned it on, and I'm installing / configuring stuff while I edit photos!
...
7:30pm - Okay! Here's photos! (Guh! Uploading photos to Blogspot SUCKS!!!)
The FedEx man gave me a black box with alien symbols all over it. When I opened it, another black box!
This box was like a cardboard suitcase. It had a handle and huge gray eyes on top.
When I opened it, another black box!
This one was shallow, and it was resting on top of some packing. And underneath it? I think that's the computer!
The shallow box had the power cord and some extras in it. Huge mouse pad, a baseball cap, some stickers.
But forget that! HERE SHE IS!
Cased in cloth! Classy!
My first look at her! She's bright red! And has a soft feel to her! Not metal or plastic. I don't know what to call it.
She also has a front grill I can only call "ANGRY."
Fully open! She's BIG!
The underside. Look at those huge speakers! They're Klipsch!
And look closely... she has a name!
Here she is on her first boot. The keyboard lit up all yellow.
And so did the headlights! GRROWL!
And now, after I've finished all the startup stuff. Here she is up and running... AND LOOKING AT ME!
I'll show more later! I wanted you guys to see her as soon as I did! She wouldn't be here without you all! She's as much yours as mine!
Oh! And I'll try to stream with her tonight if I get everything working!

Thor was GREAT! —
I already Tweeted and FaceBooked, but I wanted to say it here. I really enjoyed it! The few people I've seen who didn't like it seem to have one thing in common: They wanted ALL ASGARD and no story. PLEASE, guys! 2 hours of CGI fight scenes would have been AWFUL! Ughh!
I've been pleasantly surprised with how good the Marvel movies have been, and I find myself looking forward to the next one. This, I'm sure, is a recipe for disappointment. I can't help it, though. My inner nerd is showing.
When the first "stinger" scene showed up at the end of The Incredible Hulk, I was astonished, and happily so. They were obviously setting about making a Marvel Universe in movieland, and being a Marvel fan as a kid, I was... intrigued. And already they've made it so you have to see the previous movie if you REALLY want to know what's going on! I love it!
Those of us who were smart enough to sit through the credit this time know what's coming next. IF we're Marvel readers, that is.
I have a question, though: What did YOU see in the briefcase? My friends and I agreed: It was empty. But we could GUESS, and we were right. I've seen cell-phone photos online, and astonishingly, SOME people saw something else entirely. Are there different prints circulating the theaters? Or was it only visible to the 3-D audience??
Tell me what YOU saw!
NOTE: There's already a couple of correct answers posted here, but in other forums, I see people making incorrect guesses. This brings up a good point: For people who have ONLY seen the movies and never read the comics, it's just a mystery. But for those of us who grew up reading Marvel, there's only ONE thing it could be...

Wow. Just... WOW —
Did you see THIS??
Yvette Vickers mummified body went undiscovered for nearly a year
I absolutely love Yvette Vickers' work! As will ANY fan of B-Movies! She was as close to being a 'regular' on Mystery Science Theater as you can get! Goodbye, Pretty Lady!
More details HERE and HERE.
Oh, and don't get her confused with Beverly Garland, which is easy to do if you're not careful.
UPDATE: I've seen so many quotes from people saying how "sad" it was for to be alone like that. Come on, please! According to what I've read, she was active in the convention circuit and an engaging speaker. All those boxes blocking her doors were full of fan mail. She was NOT forgotten! She obviously CHOSE to be alone. It's a consequence of living alone that people won't be able to know what happens to you.
I'm like that. Plenty of other people are, too. We're NOT "sad."
Yes, in this case, it was a strangely LONG time. That's OUR problem, not hers. So don't be sad for her. The unusual nature of this story serves to remind us of her and remember her all the more vividly. Go watch her movies!
And look at this heartbreakingly beautiful photo!

Mistress Uhura —
I drew her in the Slave Leia costume a while back, so now she gets to kick ass! (You know you've wanted this all your life!)
I did this live for a customer last night. Took maybe 40 minutes. It all fell together real nice!
